So perhaps you have been to a free beach before, or you only go nude in the backyard. But what extras do you get from joining a Club? Won't there be lots of rules, and nosey people who want to push you into doing things you aren't interested in? Honestly, the only way to answer this properly is for you to come for a visit. We do have a few common sense rules so everyone can enjoy themselves, but as long as you are polite and respect other members, you will get along fine. Our over-riding philosophy is to have fun.
Joining a club lets you meet lots of people who, like you, have discovered the great naturist lifestyle. If you want to get out of the house, improve your social life and get involved doing fun things, then this is the place for you.

WHY BECOME A MEMBER OF PHOENIX?
Members are entitled to a reduced entry fee at club functions. Family memberships include all children at no extra cost. Once the kids turn 18 years of age, they become eligible for membership in their own right.
As an Associate of the Australian Naturist Federation (ANF) our members can apply for an International Naturist Federation Passport that is recognised world-wide and identifies you as a genuine naturist. You will need to register with the ANF to do this. Some of our functions have limits on numbers and are therefore available to members only. |
The Club has a newsletter "Phoenix Naked News" that includes informative articles, reports on functions and notice of future events. Detailed information on each function is circulated prior to the date to allow you to plan your time.
Plus you will make some really good friends who will likely become a permanent part of your life. |
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
The Club only accepts applications from adults who have attended at least 3 Club functions as a visitor. The first stage in the process is to fill out an application form and submit this with the application fee (see below) and passport-sized photographs (or e-mailed scan). You may be asked to show proof of identity. Our application fee covers the cost of your personalised name badge.
Applications are considered at the next committee meeting and successful applicants are granted Provisional Membership for a period of 6 months prior to achieving Full Membership. On approval of the application an invoice will be issued for the full annual fee and this is payable within 60 days or the application will lapse. The annual fee is designed to cover the essential running costs of the Club such as telephone, ANF fees, advertising, audit costs and web/e-mail expenses.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS
Annual fees become due in July each year, following the AGM which sets the rates for the following year. If you joined the Club in the previous year you will be eligible for a reduced fee in the second year based on a monthly pro-rata calculation (ask the Treasurer to explain!). Members who do not pay their fees for more than two months after the due date will lose their membership.
*Single Members. In common with most social clubs, Phoenix aims to maintain a balance of members from both sexes. Unfortunately we sometimes have to restrict applications from singles.
